Hawaii Red Magazine & UMEE Honolulu in NYC

When I design, I envision each piece as a functional part of a woman’s wardrobe, regardless of which island (or continent) she lives on – okay, maybe there are some exceptions (sorry Antarctica!).  Recently, some of our Hawaii made designs proved to be quite cosmopolitan on the streets of NYC!

Malie Moran, Media and Events Director of Hawaii Red Magazine, decided to partake in this year’s New York Fashion Week.  Malie is a big supporter of local fashion and insisted on being dressed in local designer’s wares during fashion’s most important week of the year.  Well, you can image that I was super flattered that my designs were in her suitcase!  Maile sent me some pictures yesterday and it appears that these Made in Hawaii designs transitioned nicely for her stylish off island adventure.
