First and Second Look at French Reality TV

Lots of people love reality TV shows and others claim to despise them but are secretly addicted to the drama.  I’m not super big into TV, in general.  It seems my Twitter timeline has replaced watching the nightly news and Facebook is plenty of reality drama on it’s own.  I do still make time to watch some of my favorite reality programming…   My fave is All On The Line with Joe Zee.  I love that the show is about helping struggling fashion designers but the best part is watching Joe Zee’s New York personality… major contrast to the passive and laid-back style in Hawaii!

I’m excited to report that I’ll be working with a French reality TV show, Angels of Reality, for their 4th season in Honolulu.  While it’s been a pleasure to work on the project and fun cheek kissing all the great people, it’s also given me a chance to style my UMEE designs in new and fresh ways.

first look

First Look: UMEE wrap skirt (part of our soon-to-be released SS 2012 collection!), nude mesh cami top I picked up in Tokyo ages ago, white jacket from Max&Co, Chloe shoes and bracelet, shell lei necklace my husband gave me when we first moved to Honolulu in 2006 from Martin & MacArthur, pearl earrings my uncle gave me forever ago, and Prada bag.

second look

Second Look: UMEE Paniolo Hawaiian Shirtdress with the matching belt worn hip slung, Maria Sharapova by Cole Haan sandals, Rebecca Minkoff bag, Native American style bracelet from San Antonio TX and necklace from Aspen CO, and earrings my Mom gave me from a trip she took to Italy in 2005.

PS: I won’t be giving away any surprises about the show so you’ll have wait till April to watch it on French TV (NRJ12).

from Hawaii with love,
